La pacient va tenir una intervenci\u00f3 quir\u00fargica pr\u00e8via de reparaci\u00f3 d&#039;aneurisma a\u00f2rtic realitzada pel Dr. Alberto Forteza Gil, cap del Servei de Cirurgia Card\u00edaca de l&#039;Hospital Universitari Quir\u00f3nsalud de Madrid i Cap de Cirurgia Cardiovascular de l&#039;Hospital Puerta de Hierro. Just despr\u00e9s d&#039;aquesta intervenci\u00f3, el Dr. Varela, juntament amb el Dr. \u00c1lvaro S\u00e1nchez Calle, cirurgi\u00e0 tor\u00e0cic de l&#039;Hospital Puerta de Hierro, van realitzar la reparaci\u00f3 quir\u00fargica del seu <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Excavatum<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00c9s la primera vegada que s&#039;opera a un pacient afectat per la s\u00edndrome de Marfan <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Excavatum<\/strong> amb <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Amunt<\/strong>, l&#039;implant extrator\u00e0cic desenvolupat per <a href=\"mailto:http:\/\/venturamedicaltechnologies.com\/es\/\">Ventura Medical Technologies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">La s\u00edndrome de Marfan \u00e9s un trastorn hereditari que implica una alteraci\u00f3 morfol\u00f2gica que afecta l&#039;esquelet, els lligaments i els m\u00fasculs, causada per difer\u00e8ncies de creixement ossi i debilitat dels lligaments. El dany causat per la s\u00edndrome de Marfan pot ser lleu o greu, i nom\u00e9s un ter\u00e7 dels afectats presenten s\u00edmptomes greus reals. Les anomalies tor\u00e0ciques m\u00e9s freq\u00fcents estan associades a l&#039;est\u00e8rnum. En casos de Marfan m\u00e9s greus, el <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Excavatum<\/strong> pot empitjorar la funci\u00f3 respirat\u00f2ria, especialment si es produeixen altres canvis tor\u00e0cics. En abs\u00e8ncia de gesti\u00f3 ortop\u00e8dica amb correctors, el tractament quir\u00fargic \u00e9s l&#039;\u00fanica opci\u00f3, i <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Amunt<\/strong> \u00e9s un dels m\u00e8todes a escollir per tractar aquesta patologia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">El <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Amunt<\/strong> \u00e9s un implant extrator\u00e0cic per a una correcci\u00f3 m\u00ednimament invasiva de <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Excavatum<\/strong> que redueix substancialment la complexitat i els riscos de la cirurgia, la qual cosa permet un temps de recuperaci\u00f3 m\u00e9s curt i uns resultats molt satisfactoris.
