FAMILY BUSINESS
BVentura is a Catalan family business, world leader in the manufacture of pistons for automotive brake pumps, with facilities in Les Franqueses del Vallés (Barcelona), the United States and China. Its firm position in favor of innovation and leading-edge technology along with the willingness of engagement to society led it to open a new business unit oriented to the health sector, thus creating Ventura Medical Technologies.
CAPABILITIES
Manufacture of high-precision components for the most important companies in the automotive and aeronautical sector, both nationally and internationally.
In 2010, taking advantage of these capabilities and with a willingness to commit to society, Ventura Medical Technologies was created.
INNOVATION
The first project that was developed was based on an idea of Dr. Bardají, head of the pediatric surgery service of the Corporación Sanitaria Parc Taulí, and the Fundación Taulí.
It consisted on the development of a new surgical method and a device, called Pectus Up Surgery Kit, for the treatment of Pectus Excavatum, the most common congenital malformation of the rib cage in children and teenagers.

Its high competitiveness and high level of demand has led it to incorporate the most leading-edge technology and the best qualified professionals.
Mission: to develop innovative projects that provide comprehensive multi-technological engineering solutions in the health field and in turn ensure that the products reach the market successfully.
The Pectus Up is a temporary implant that allows an extrathoracic reduction of the Pectus Excavatum in a minimally invasive way and with fewer complications than traditional techniques. With the surgical interventions performed so far, optimal levels of patient satisfaction and excellent medical results have been achieved.

NEW PROJECTS
The company is currently developing new projects related to specialties of thoracic surgery, pediatric surgery, urology, otorhinolaryngology, primary, socio-sanitary and social care. For the optimal results of these projects, collaboration agreements have been established with different health, university and innovation centers in Spain.
