En el congreso se presentaron los resultados comparativos entre las innovadoras\u00a0<strong>T\u00e9cnica del Pectus Up<\/strong>\u00a0y el\u00a0<strong>M\u00e9todo Nuss<\/strong>, ambos utilizados para el tratamiento de la\u00a0<strong>Pectus Excavatum<\/strong>, fueron introducidos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">El Dr. Josu\u00e9 Eduardo Betancourth-Alvarenga, asociado del Servicio de Cirug\u00eda Pedi\u00e1trica del Hospital Taul\u00ed, fue el encargado de presentar cinco a\u00f1os de experiencia con la\u00a0<strong>Pectus Up<\/strong>El estudio incluy\u00f3 datos de los primeros pacientes operados en el ensayo cl\u00ednico, iniciado en 2012, hasta el \u00faltimo, intervenido en 2016. A lo largo de todos estos a\u00f1os, la cirug\u00eda m\u00ednimamente invasiva\u00a0<strong>Pectus Up<\/strong>\u00a0La t\u00e9cnica quir\u00fargica, as\u00ed como el propio implante, han sufrido diferentes evoluciones para mejorar los resultados y evitar as\u00ed cualquier recidiva que pudiera surgir en sus fases iniciales de desarrollo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">El estudio concluy\u00f3 que la\u00a0<strong>Pectus Up<\/strong>, a pesar de ser una t\u00e9cnica de reciente desarrollo, representa un tratamiento seguro y eficaz para los pacientes afectados por\u00a0<strong>Pectus Excavatum<\/strong>, con resultados similares al uso de un m\u00e9todo con m\u00e1s de 20 a\u00f1os de evoluci\u00f3n, como es el de Nuss, pero con notables ventajas sobre este \u00faltimo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Pectus Up<\/strong>\u00a0reduce el tiempo de quir\u00f3fano, el dolor postoperatorio y la estancia hospitalaria, pero la principal ventaja de la t\u00e9cnica radica en que es extrator\u00e1cica, por lo que no invade el mediastino ni la cavidad pleural, reduciendo as\u00ed el riesgo de da\u00f1ar los \u00f3rganos vitales del t\u00f3rax; en definitiva, una buena alternativa en la fijaci\u00f3n del Pectus Excavatum.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Durante el congreso,\u00a0<strong>Pectus Up<\/strong>\u00a0Tambi\u00e9n se presentaron resultados cuando se utiliz\u00f3 como t\u00e9cnica h\u00edbrida en intervenciones m\u00ednimamente invasivas para pacientes con enfermedad grave.\u00a0<strong>Pectus Excavatum<\/strong>\u00a0\u00edndice (<strong>\u00cdndice Haller<\/strong>).
