ANDR\u00c9S VARELA"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>El Hospital Puerta de Hierro volvi\u00f3 a ser escenario de una nueva operaci\u00f3n con Pectus Up, esta vez la primera a un paciente con s\u00edndrome de Marfan.<\/em><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><a href=\"mailto:http:\/\/www.cirugiatoracica.es\/dr-varela.html\">Dr. Andr\u00e9s Varela<\/a> ha operado con \u00e9xito a un paciente afectado por <strong>pecto<\/strong> <strong>excavatum<\/strong> de nuevo. El paciente ten\u00eda una cirug\u00eda previa de reparaci\u00f3n de un aneurisma a\u00f3rtico realizada por el Dr. Alberto Forteza Gil, Jefe del Servicio de Cirug\u00eda Card\u00edaca del Hospital Universitario Quir\u00f3nsalud Madrid y Jefe de Cirug\u00eda Cardiovascular del Hospital Puerta de Hierro. Inmediatamente despu\u00e9s de esta cirug\u00eda, el Dr. Varela, junto con el Dr. \u00c1lvaro S\u00e1nchez Calle, cirujano tor\u00e1cico del Hospital Puerta de Hierro, realizaron la reparaci\u00f3n quir\u00fargica de su <strong>pecto<\/strong> <strong>excavatum<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Esta es la primera vez que un paciente afectado por el s\u00edndrome de Marfan es operado por <strong>pecto<\/strong> <strong>excavatum<\/strong> con <strong>pecto<\/strong> <strong>Arriba<\/strong>, el implante extrator\u00e1cico desarrollado por <a href=\"mailto:http:\/\/venturamedicaltechnologies.com\/es\/\">Ventura Medical Technologies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">El s\u00edndrome de Marfan es un trastorno hereditario que implica una alteraci\u00f3n morfol\u00f3gica que afecta al esqueleto, ligamentos y m\u00fasculos, provocada por diferencias en el crecimiento \u00f3seo y debilidad de los ligamentos. Los da\u00f1os causados por el s\u00edndrome de Marfan pueden ser leves o graves, y s\u00f3lo un tercio de los afectados presentan s\u00edntomas graves reales. Las anomal\u00edas tor\u00e1cicas m\u00e1s frecuentes est\u00e1n asociadas al estern\u00f3n. En los casos m\u00e1s graves de Marfan, el <strong>pecto<\/strong> <strong>excavatum<\/strong> puede empeorar la funci\u00f3n respiratoria, especialmente si se producen otros cambios tor\u00e1cicos. A falta de manejo ortop\u00e9dico con correctores, el tratamiento quir\u00fargico es la \u00fanica opci\u00f3n, y <strong>pecto<\/strong> <strong>Arriba<\/strong> es uno de los m\u00e9todos a elegir para tratar esta patolog\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">El <strong>pecto<\/strong> <strong>Arriba<\/strong> es un implante extrator\u00e1cico para una correcci\u00f3n m\u00ednimamente invasiva de <strong>pecto<\/strong> <strong>excavatum<\/strong> que reduce sustancialmente la complejidad y los riesgos de la cirug\u00eda, lo que permite un menor tiempo de recuperaci\u00f3n y resultados muy satisfactorios.
