ANDR\u00c9S VARELA SE CONSOLIDADO COMO EL CIRUJANO TOR\u00c1CICO CON M\u00c1S CIRUG\u00cdAS DE PECTUS UP EN ESPA\u00d1A"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>Dos pacientes con Pectus Excavatum han sido intervenidos con la nueva t\u00e9cnica Pectus Up en el Hospital Puerta de Hierro de Madrid.<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cirugiatoracica.es\/dr-varela.html\">Dr. Andr\u00e9s Varela<\/a>, Jefe del Servicio de Cirug\u00eda Tor\u00e1cica del Hospital Puerta de Hierro Majadahonda, Hospital Quir\u00f3nsalud y Hospital La Luz, todos ellos en Madrid (Espa\u00f1a), ha intervenido con \u00e9xito a dos nuevos pacientes afectados de\u00a0<strong>Pectus Excavatum\u00a0<\/strong>con el\u00a0<strong>Pectus Up\u00a0<\/strong>T\u00e9cnica. En esta ocasi\u00f3n se han intervenido un paciente adulto de 46 a\u00f1os y un joven de 20 a\u00f1os, ambos con resultados altamente satisfactorios.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El\u00a0<strong>pecto<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Arriba<\/strong>\u00a0es un implante extrator\u00e1cico para la correcci\u00f3n de\u00a0<strong>pecto<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>excavatum<\/strong>\u00a0mediante un abordaje m\u00ednimamente invasivo, lo que reduce considerablemente la complejidad y los riesgos de la cirug\u00eda. Entre muchas de sus ventajas, podemos se\u00f1alar que es f\u00e1cil de implantar, que causa menos dolor que las t\u00e9cnicas tradicionales y que requiere menos d\u00edas de hospitalizaci\u00f3n, por lo que el paciente experimenta una r\u00e1pida recuperaci\u00f3n postoperatoria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El implante, desarrollado por\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/venturamedicaltechnologies.com\/es\/\">Ventura Medical Technologies<\/a>, fue dise\u00f1ada en el a\u00f1o 2012, con una primera versi\u00f3n dirigida al p\u00fablico infantil y juvenil. Desde entonces ha pasado por varias etapas de evoluci\u00f3n y, gracias en gran medida a la colaboraci\u00f3n del Dr. Varela en las mejoras introducidas en la t\u00e9cnica, se ha ampliado el rango de edad objetivo a pacientes no pedi\u00e1tricos, as\u00ed como la diversidad tipol\u00f3gica de la patolog\u00eda entre los candidatos a este tipo de cirug\u00eda.
