A medida que la situaci\u00f3n se normaliza paulatinamente, los cirujanos especializados en cirug\u00eda tor\u00e1cica restablecen su actividad quir\u00fargica programada.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Todo el sistema sanitario, p\u00fablico y privado, se ha volcado en combatir los efectos provocados por el SARS-COV2, independientemente de su especialidad m\u00e9dica o quir\u00fargica, lo que ha contribuido a que ninguno de estos pacientes dejara de recibir la atenci\u00f3n que necesitaba.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Uno de los efectos de esta pandemia es que pacientes con patolog\u00edas distintas al COVID-19 han alterado la programaci\u00f3n de sus visitas y otros servicios m\u00e9dicos, incluidos aquellos afectados de Pectus Excavatum.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las principales sociedades de cirujanos tor\u00e1cicos reconocidas a nivel mundial, como la Sociedad Espa\u00f1ola de Cirug\u00eda Tor\u00e1cica (SECT) y la Sociedad Europea de Cirujanos Tor\u00e1cicos (ESTS), debaten sobre c\u00f3mo garantizar la actividad asistencial a pacientes con patolog\u00edas distintas a las producidas por el Coronavirus.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El pasado 12 de abril la ESTS present\u00f3 los resultados de una encuesta sobre Cirug\u00eda Tor\u00e1cica en tiempos de pandemia, en la que participaron cirujanos tor\u00e1cicos de pa\u00edses de todo el mundo, entre ellos Espa\u00f1a. Entre las diferentes preguntas realizadas, cabe destacar:<br \/>\n<strong>\u00bfC\u00f3mo est\u00e1 afectando la pandemia de COVID-19 al funcionamiento normal de su hospital y tambi\u00e9n, de su departamento?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El resultado fue que el 20%\/24,5% de los cirujanos consider\u00f3 la afectaci\u00f3n como moderada (m\u00e1s cirug\u00edas pospuestas), 53%\/47,5% como considerable (solo se realizaron cirug\u00edas m\u00e9dicas u oncol\u00f3gicas urgentes, con m\u00ednimo personal y camas de UCI disponibles) y 15%\/8% como extrema (casi todo el hospital estaba dedicado a pacientes COVID-19, todas las camas de UCI ocupadas por este tipo de pacientes y solo se realizaron cirug\u00edas urgentes).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Por otra parte, el pasado 21 de mayo el Comit\u00e9 Cient\u00edfico de la SECT https:\/\/www.sect.es\/index.php\/la-sociencia\/junta-directiva-y-comites celebr\u00f3 un webinar donde se present\u00f3 el resultado de un informe sobre cirug\u00eda programada durante la pandemia de COVID-19: \u201cCirug\u00eda Tor\u00e1cica en tiempos de pandemia. Entre la seguridad y el riesgo\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Este webinar fue organizado por la SECT en colaboraci\u00f3n con la Fundaci\u00f3n SECT y Medtronic, y en la sesi\u00f3n particip\u00f3 el Dr. N\u00e9stor Mart\u00ednez del Hospital Universitario La Ribera y el Presidente del Comit\u00e9 Cient\u00edfico de la SECT, Dr. Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00f3n Jarabo del Hospital Cl\u00ednico San Carlos y el Dr. Alberto Caba\u00f1ero del Hospital Universitario Ram\u00f3n y Cajal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La premisa principal del informe es c\u00f3mo el sistema sanitario se centr\u00f3 en el tratamiento de las patolog\u00edas derivadas de la COVID-19, suspendi\u00e9ndose la actividad electiva no COVID-19 en muchas \u00e1reas, como en el caso de la cirug\u00eda tor\u00e1cica, que es una especialidad eminentemente oncol\u00f3gica.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Uno de los objetivos del informe es ofrecer recomendaciones sobre c\u00f3mo minimizar los riesgos derivados de no poder prestar la atenci\u00f3n sanitaria que requieren los pacientes con patolog\u00edas diferentes a las producidas por el SARS-COV2, sobre c\u00f3mo garantizar la actividad asistencial y la seguridad de los profesionales, y los nuevos retos en la organizaci\u00f3n de un servicio de cirug\u00eda tor\u00e1cica.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0Pectus Excavatum\u00a0is one of the pathologies that are also affected [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":4700,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[23,12],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-4698","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news-2","category-sense-categoria"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
