VENTURA MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIES ATTENDS THE 2ND WORKSHOP ON CHEST WALL DEFORMITIES

Ventura Tecnologías Médicas attends the 2nd Workshop of Chest Wall Deformities which will be held on 17th and 18th September 2013 in Saint-Étienne, France. This conference is organized by Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Chu de Saint-Étienne and sponsored by the Université Jean Monnet, the French Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, among other organisms.

The meeting will be leaded by global benchmarkers in the field of thoracic surgery which will feature the latest developments in this sector.

Ventura Tecnologías Médicas will be present at this event to support one of the most important guests, Dr. Bardají, inventor of the new minimally invasive procedure to solve the Pectus Excavatum disease (thoracic deformation characterized by having the sunken chest), who, together with a professional team of our company has developed an implant called Pectus Up, which avoids the complications which arose from the prior procedures.

At this meeting, Dr. Bardají will lecture on the new surgical technique and how the combination of it with the Nuss procedure offers a better solution to those affected by Pectus Excavatum with severe Haller index.

Dr. Nuss, inventor of the surgical method previous to Dr. Bardají technique, together with other thoracic surgery specialists from different countries worldwide will be also present in this event. The program also includes performances of “Live Surgery“ repairing Pectus Excavatum by the Nuss and Ravitch technique, and Pectus Carinatum (chest deformation characterized by a protrusion of the anterior wall of the sternum),  by means of the Abramson technique, and various conferences related to chest malformation.
